STSC has developed CircStretch; a unique, performance stretch textile to minimise the impact to people and planet. The majority of performance stretch textiles on the market use 100% plastic fibres that shed plastic into our environment plus use hazardous dyes, all causing potentially negative health impacts when worn close to our skin or ingested from our waterways, soil, air etc.

By using Circstretch brands can drastically reduce the use of plastic fossil fuel fibres and toxic dyes from both fibres. No performance stretch textile on the market is 100% biodegradable or compostable. Our goal is to produce specific high stretch performance textiles built for longevity but also minimise impact and then when "unwearable" to support brands to recover and put into a circular economy and not "waste" the fibres but eventually recycle fibre to fibre. 

CircStretch is a revolutionary textile blending premium natural fibers with eco-elastane plus using sustainable Bluesign® dyes.

Both our fibres and dyes carry the world's highest safety standards to make safer and more sustainable products if requiring stretch and especially for garments that are worn close to the skin and sensitive body parts while sweating.

After extensive R&D, STSC have developed an innovative performance textile that is:

• built for longevity, to keep its shape and colour and able to recycle (fibre to fibre through chemicals or enzymes)

• uses the world’s first Cradle To Cradle® Gold Standard Certified premium degradable elastane.

• uses the least plastic elastane to minimise shedding (eg. composition with 35% elastane; 50% will safely breakdown)

Brands can also purchase fully biodegradable natural rubber and GOTS certified cotton garment elastic.

We use the highest percentage of biodegradable and compostable fibres, the highest certified eco-dyes and have developed CircStretch blends to require the smallest percentage possible of eco-elastane. Depending on the product; (2% to 35%). Using cutting-edge knitting technology we blend natural fibres with ROICA™ V550, the world’s first Cradle To Cradle® Gold Standard Certified premium degradable elastane. 

CIRCULARITY.
Due to this, the biodegradability of these fibres is possibly the highest in the world. As far as we can determine, there is no performance stretch textile made with 100% biodegradable elastane. CircStretch is possibly the closest to minimal environmental impact stretch textiles for performance stretch garments on the market.

Our aim is to balance product longevity, be low-impact plus support brands to create take-back systems to R-Cyclers first then recycle (chemical, mechanical or enzymatic) rather than end up in landfill via the Global Circular Network digital product passport platform.

CIRCSTRETCH FIBRES.
STSC's unique CircStretch fabrics use natural fibres by TENCEL™ Modal and GOTS organic cotton blended with ROICA™ V550 by Asahi Kasei; the worlds-first with the Cradle to Cradle-Certified™️ Material Health Gold Level Certificate.

ROICA™ V550 is derived from fossil fuels then treated. All plastic textiles are derived from fossil fuels and are known endocrine disruptors plus potential carcinogens. Medical research is finally advancing and experts and concerned about the potential negative impact they have on human health with a particular concern related to the decline in men's penis size and fertility. 

Different blends can be used for garments like underwear, socks, swimwear, activewear, sportswear, apparel.

We also offer brands the capability to create a world-first full circular economy system using the worlds first washable RFID Thread attached to the Global Circular Network Digital Product Passport. 

GCN works with brands to offer customers a connected QR Code to determine where to take their garments for repair, resell and ultimately show its safe to recycle without the forever chemicals eg via fibre to fibre recycling if available in the region.
