AUSTRALIAN SUSTAINABLE TEXTILES CLUB
WELCOME TO THE SUSTAINABLE TEXTILE REVOLUTION.
I started this Club so we can all share knowledge, resources, and connections plus enable designers to order low MOQ's of sustainable textiles at bulk prices. Additionally the goal is to cut down on our transport eco footprint and share freight costs.
As a member of the Australian Sustainable Textile Club you are invited to place orders for fabrics you would like to purchase, even as low as 1 metre just to give it a try - some of these textiles are really new, so of course if you would like to share any observations and designs with us in the Club, that would be so wonderful, and give me permission to share - only if appropriate.
MEMBERS SHOP .
Even though the Club is free for anyone to join, this section is set as a hidden Private Members PAGE only so as not to confuse general customers, because the pricing is set at half (50%) of the final price for a deposit.
This is so that you can order your textiles in stages.
Stage 1. payment of 50% to place an order.
Stage 2. when the bulk order is ready.
The Prices currently listed are guaranteed for a minimum of MOQ 30 or 100 metre minimums (in most cases) however you can order as much or as little as you like.
Should we go over 250 metres on any fabrics, then the price will reduce again, and I will adjust that on the second Invoice.
If you require a different colour than this one, please put in a request to STSC for the next bulk order.
The selection of our first Batch order was made by the wonderful Karen Kwok of Acquire at Design Store in Newtown.
Karen is an amazing, experienced designer using natural textiles, plus she teachers fashion at Billy Blue College of Design, so I am enormously privileged to have had her choose the textiles that she felt were her favourites, and would work well for a range of designers needs.
FREE PR MATERIAL.
Over time I will be updating my product information to share with you. You are welcome to use this material to generate your own own product, marketing and PR material to share as your personal story. I've done this so that we can all benefit from sharing the success of using sustainable textiles.
Should you wish to have a fabric or garments made bespoke, please fill in a Tech Pack to arrange a quote. I'm charging a fee of aud$50 for each quote which I gift to the Makers, so to give value for their time as these quotes take a long time.
The fabric in this Batch #1 is made-to-order and hand dyed using pure plant based dyes, and they are magical.
Orders for this Batch closes in 3 weeks on Wednesday 18th July. I will do more of these textiles once I gauge which ones you like the best.
Batch #2 will be coming soon and will be from the Lenzing range. I'm working with them now and will have updates soon.
To secure an order, a deposit of 50% is required in advance, and then the remaining 50% is sent via a 7 day invoice plus freight costs, when the fabric is ready to ship. There are two ways you can order through the Club:
PAYMENT OPTION 1.
Email your Purchase Order Form using the Codes on the Fabric Item.
Email the PO to firstname.lastname@example.org and I will return with an Invoice including the bank transfer details.
PAYMENT OPTION 2.
Purchase via the Website and Paypal. This will add Paypal Fees 4.4%+0.3 aud$.
ORDER IS PLACED
At the end of the 30 DAY order time we notify you the final price, determined by the final quantity ordered by the Club.
Once all payments have been made, I will place the order and pay our makers the deposit to commence work.
ORDER READY TO SHIP
I will keep you updated on the progress, and it will take approximately 2 months to complete the order.
When ready, final Invoice is sent requesting remaining 50% owing plus combined freight charges.
Collect fabric from Acquire@Design in Newtown, or we sent to you via Sendle Couries COD.
Once ready to ship (or close to ready so we can move quickly), I will issue you with a second Invoice for the final amount.
Once these invoices are paid, then the fabric will be shipped to Karen Kwok's shop in Newtown.
Once it has arrived, we will then cut down any fabric necessary, and re-distribute via pick-ups from me, or Newtown, or I will send on via Sendle Couriers.
Sendle is a flat-rate delivery service that collects from you and delivers around Australia via our awesome courier partners. Sendle are Australia's first 100% carbon-neutral delivery service (and a certified B Corporation).
